The Connecticut College Women’s Volleyball Overnight Camp is inviting all aspiring girls entering grades 9 through college freshmen. It is an opportunity to experience an overnight camp with the Connecticut College Lady Camels on July 7 to July 9. Coast Guard Academy players and recruits from all over the country will also be participating. The overnight camp’s training program will facilitate both individual and team training. Professional college coaches and varsity players will run the camp all through 7 sessions. Each session challenges the participants with intensive training to develop skills, tactics, and systems of play. The location will be at the Luce Field House of Conn College campus.
Connecticut College, or colloquially just Conn, is a private, coeducational institution in New London, Connecticut. It is a liberal arts college with a campus size of 750 acres. Connecticut College is among the top producer of Fulbright awardees. It is 45th in the 2018 college rankings of the U.S. News and World Report for National Liberal Arts Colleges. Currently, it has a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,865 students of which 37 percent are male students while 63 percent are female students. The Connecticut College also has 75.2 percent of its classes with less than 20 students with an outstanding student to faculty ratio of 9:1. Furthermore, in Connecticut College, students live on an 85-year-old Honor Code. This code supports all interactions at school, both academically and socially. Student life also includes Conn’s notable annual event, the Camelympics. It is a competition among residence halls aimed at creating a spirited rivalry.
Connecticut College Women’s Volleyball Overnight Camp Organizers
Joshua Edmed is the Head Coach of the Connecticut College women’s volleyball team. He was NESCAC and the New England Women’s Volleyball Association Coach of the Year in 2012. In addition, he was also the New England Division III Coach of the Year. This is an honor recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Completing the team are Assistant Coaches Ethan Cutler and Patty Giannattasio.
