Aurora University Spartans Women’s Volleyball Camp

The Aurora University Spartans Women’s Volleyball Camp is open to all and any high school girls in grade 11 and 12 who are serious about playing at the collegiate level. It is a three-day advanced level training program that will run from July 24 until July 26. The venue of the event is the state-of-the-art Alumni Hall on the Aurora University campus. Furthermore, this high-level volleyball camp aims at improving blocking, hitting, passing, setting, and serving skills. It also provides a venue for outstanding volleyball players to showcase their skills. In addition, this program is an initiative of the Aurora University women’s volleyball coaching staff.

Aurora University, formerly Mendota College, is a private, coeducational, nonprofit, liberal arts university in Aurora, Illinois. The university as a whole has an accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. Its nursing programs have an accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Additionally, the university’s athletic training program and educational programs have accreditations from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and the Illinois State Board of Education respectively. The School of Social Work has an accreditation from the Council for Social Work Education as well. Currently, the university is serving around 3,800 undergraduate students. In sports, Aurora University is a member of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference of the NCAA Division II. The university athletes’ nickname is Spartans and royal blue and white are their identity colors.

 

Aurora University Spartans Women’s Volleyball Camp Organizers

The head coach of the Aurora University Spartans women’s volleyball is James Seitelman. He is now in his fifth year at the helm of the university’s women’s volleyball program. Coach Seitelman is a former college volleyball standout. In fact, he is the 2001 National Championship Most Valuable  Player. Then, the Spartans women’s assistant volleyball coach is Andrew Palmer. He is with the Spartans coaching staff since the 2014 season. And finally, Alison Kimmel is the graduate assistant coach. She is a bachelor’s degree in sports management graduate from the University of Cincinnati.
