Join the Washington and Lee University Women’s Volleyball Camp on the 14th and 15th of July. It is open to all high school girls who are serious about improving their game and playing at the college level. It is a challenging but fun training program that aims at improving the participants’ technique and tactical knowledge. Furthermore, this 2-day event will be under the supervision of the Washington and Lee University women’s volleyball coaching staff. It includes a campus tour and a college admission and recruiting session. The program is only open for 35 participants, thus, registration is on a first come first serve basis.
Washington and Lee University, originally Augusta Academy, is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university in Lexington, Virginia. Its campus features the Lee Chapel which is part of the National Historic Landmark. Its name is in honor of two prominent Americans in history, George Washington and Robert E. Lee. Moreover, the university has an accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. It is among the nation’s best universities. As a matter of fact, Washington and Lee University is 31st in the 2017 edition of Forbes America’s Top Colleges rankings. It is also 10th in National Liberal Arts Colleges, 2018 edition of U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges rankings. The university’s current undergraduate population is around 1,900 while its postgraduate student population is around 400. Additionally, Washington and Lee University’s college sports teams are competing in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference of NCAA Division III.
Washington and Lee University Women’s Volleyball Camp Organizers
Bryan Snyder is the head coach of the Washington and Lee University women’s volleyball team. He is at the same time the university’s assistant athletic director for finance. Under his leadership, the women’s volleyball team has already 11 Old Dominion Athletic Conference titles. Coach Snyder is also an 11-time conference Coach of the Year awardee. Then, the team’s assistant coach is Taylor Gibson. She is a bachelor of arts in English and philosophy alumni of Washington and Lee University.
