The Simpson College Women’s Volleyball Specialist Camp is inviting all female volleyball players in the 9th grade to 12th grade who aspire to play at the collegiate level. It is a seven-hour training program on the 10th of June that will run from 1:30 PM until 8:30 PM. It will take place at the Simpson College’s Cowles Center. Furthermore, this volleyball specialist camp focuses providing new techniques and tactics that will help the players excel in their position. There will be specific sessions for setters, middle hitters, outside hitters, and liberos. Additionally, the training program will be under the tutelage of the Simpson College women’s volleyball coaching staff.
Simpson College is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college in Indianola, Iowa. It also has other facilities in West Des Moines and Ankeny. Its name is in honor of Matthew Simpson, its founder, and a renowned American Methodist Episcopal Church bishop. As a whole, the college has an accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Currently, Simpson College is accommodating around 1,500 undergraduate students. In sports, Simpson College is competing in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference of the NCAA Division III as the Storm.
Simpson College Women’s Volleyball Specialist Camp Organizers
The head coach of the Simpson College Storms women’s volleyball team is Lana Smith. She is the 2001 IIAC Coach of the Year awardee. Ultimately, under Coach Smith’s leadership, the team has already two IIAC Tournament Championships and three NCAA Tournament Appearances. Then, the Storm assistant volleyball coaches are Tony Sunga, Heidi Brooks, and Barb Overton. Coach Barb Overton is at the same time the marketing assistant.
