The Humboldt State University Women’s Volleyball Camp will run from August 7 until August 11 at the Lumberjack Arena. It is inviting all girls in grade 5 up to grade 12. This five-day training program is an initiative of the Humboldt State University women’s volleyball coaching staff. In addition, this training program will cover all the basic skills of volleyball. It focuses on improving techniques for serving, passing, setting, hitting, defense and blocking. The participants will also experience game-like situations and drills. Moreover, this training program is for overnight campers. Registration includes five lunches.
Humboldt State University, originally Humboldt State Normal College, is a public, coeducational university in Arcata, California. It is a member of the California State University system. Humboldt State University Women’s Volleyball Camp Organizers
Kelly Wood is the head coach of the Humboldt State University Lumberjacks women’s volleyball team. She is a three-time Conference Coach of the Year awardee and a two-time Regional Coach of the Year awardee. Additionally, Coach Kelly Wood is a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology graduate from Sonoma State University. She is also a Master’s degree in Education graduate from Chapman University. Then, the Lumberjacks volleyball assistant coaches are Greg Railsback and Michelle Higuera. Coach Railsback is the former Santa Rosa Junior College men’s club head volleyball coach.
