The Christopher Newport University Women’s Volleyball Camp will focus on the overall development of the participant’s volleyball skills. It is a 4-day training camp that will run from July 17 until July 20. The venue is Christopher Newport University’s state-of-the-art Freeman Center. Additionally, this training program is for all girls in grade 1 up to grade 12. Day camps available for grade 1 up to grade 6, while overnight and extended day camps for grade 7 to grade 12. Moreover, every registration includes a free camp t-shirt and a Christopher Newport University volleyball.
Christopher Newport University is a public, coeducational, liberal arts university in Newport News, Virginia. The university has an accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. They are campaigning in the Capital Athletic Conference and New Jersey Athletic Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 3. Their nickname is Captains. Leading the Christopher Newport University women’s volleyball team is new head coach Lindsay Birch. She is an 11-time VaSID All-Virginia Coach of the Year and a 10-time Conference Coach of the Year. Coach Birch is also a 2-time American Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the Year awardee. Furthermore, Coach Birch has an outstanding college playing career which includes the Dixie Conference Player of the Year and the Peninsula Sports Club/Christopher Newport University Athlete of the Year award. Then, the team’s assistant coaches are Cory Taylor and Ashley Rock. Coach Taylor is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. Finally, Forrest Mann is the team manager.
